The citizens are invited annually to meetings to prioritize and make proposals on how a certain part of the budget should be used and to vote on proposals made.

The municipality designs its own process and adapts to local conditions.
After implementation, the process starts again and the citizens’ budget becomes part of the annual budget process
Recurring process every year, approx. 6-12 months.
