Reflection questions

  • Has your local government initiated any participatory democracy methods, such as gender, child or participatory budgeting, that could support human rights budgeting processes? If not, how could your steering group encourage the inititation of such processes?
  • Do human rights currently influence your local governments procurement policies? If so, how?

Facilitaton tips

Consult ICLD’s Democratic workshop’s handbook below for facilitation method tips for this module. We suggest the following methods:

  • Cafe method if participants have practical and concrete human right budgteing example to share with the group.
