Welcome to the CBPR e-learning course! This platform gives you information in a logical order and makes it easy to track your progress.
In this introductory module, you will explore the key foundations, principles and history of CBPR, and how this approach has become a movement towards knowledge democracy, decolonization and social change. Students will be introduced to the UN SDGs as a global blueprint for dignity, peace and prosperity for people and the planet, and also speak to some of the challenges in realizing these efforts.
There are three components to each module: 1) input (text, video, articles), 2) quiz, and 3) a written answer to a question. The questions will help you build up to implementing your own CBPR project, so please do spend a little time reflecting on them. There is no correction procedure – you are encouraged to use a word document that you fill out each week and revise as you progress. In the end, you will notice a near complete project plan in your hands.
