You have now reached the third and final module.
The objective of the module is to explain and give room for reflection about the relationships between corruption and human rights in the context of local governance.
The module will address the negative impact of corruption on human rights, and exemplify how corruption can be approached, analysed and addressed as a human rights violation. It will also give an overview of different approaches to corruption, and provide insights on how to analyse corruption as an interconnected and interdependent legal, social and political practice. It will further provide some case studies in how to combat corruption in local governance.
The module corresponds to learning goal two:
How human rights and corruption are related, and what that means for local government operations and budgeting processes.
